Congratulations on turning five years old!

The Otaku-Kai (Anime Aficionados of the Kern River Valley) is an association of like minded individuals who enjoy sharing their love of Japanese animation (anime), illustrated novels (manga), popular culture, music, history, philosophy and language.

ImagePictured on the left is the club's founder Tony Damigo [top right]. To his left and right are club officers Will Sherman and Anna Carrol, and two of our regular members.

    Club Meetings:
  • The club normally meets Saturday mornings form 9:00 am to 11:00 am at 6742 Wofford Heights Blvd, Wofford Heights CA., in the Reel Cinema auditorium. The doors open at 8:30 am with the meeting starts promptly at this appointed time.
    • General meetings are open to anyone 12 years old and up, and there is no cost for attending.
      • Each meeting we will show episodes from one or more selected series, or show a movie. A normal meeting will run 2 hours (unless announced otherwise). For anime series: a 13 episode series will usually be completed within 4 weeks. A 26 episodes series will usually take 8 weeks to run. These "run times" are based on showing four episodes of the same series at each meeting until the series is finished its run. Screening 2 series together will double the time needed to complete the series run. We will not show anything over 26 episodes long.
